Hi Kay.
Wishing you and the family a very happy new year.
Eleven years ago we visited your place to meet and take home our sweet little girl, Shiloh. She was from the litter of Sydney and Rapscallion Rowdy. I know how important each of your Jack Russel pups are, so I wanted to give you an update on how Shiloh is doing.
Shiloh continues to be in excellent health – has no issues whatsoever – is the perfect weight as she always has been, and is a confident, smart, happy, healthy and friendly little girl. She spent 8 of her winters living in south Florida, where she went on lots of walks and could interact regularly with other dogs along one of the lakeside walking paths, one of 2 very large dog runs, taking evening strolls around the resort or even just lounging around on our porch, watching the world go by. Every day at 3:00 the pets and owners would get together for “Yappy Hour”, down at the lake. Most of the folks in the resort got to know her by name, and it was common for them to drop by with a treat for her, in their golf carts – so much so that Shi figured out that golf carts brought treats, and she would get excited whenever one passed by. In summer, we have a summer home along the shore of the St Lawrence river, in the 1000 Islands region, so Shi gets lots of chances to walk and play. She loves to wander about along the shoreline and paddle in the shallow waters.
From the beginning I did a lot of reading about the psychology of raising a puppy. I wanted to make sure that Shiloh would be healthy and happy during her lifetime, but I also wanted a confident dog – my theory being that a confident dog would be a sociable dog and would obey any commands because she wanted to and not out of fear of reprimand or simply for reward. Because of her independent nature we knew we needed to be firm, and certainly rewards supported our training, but we made strong efforts to engage her socially, to carefully read her body language, and to create opportunity for her to explore and interact with different situations and people. We would hand feed her sometimes so she learned that the hand brings food, and so she never feels like she has to guard her bowl, for example. She travels with us constantly and is very rarely alone, and she is calm and relaxed when we do have to leave her for a short while, but being retired, we can take her most anywhere we are going. She travels very well, and simply wants to be with us.
During her life, we have always acknowledged the wonderful work which you and your family do to get the pups off on the right foot, with your healthy care and regimen, active lifestyle and attention to socially integrating the pups. This strong start to her life has produced an outstanding companion, and we are so very pleased that we chose to acquire her from your breeding kennel. We love her so much and are extremely grateful that we are able to share our lives with her. The fact that she has been so healthy throughout her life is a testament to your skills as a breeder.
I am attaching a recent photo of her, relaxing with us in a chair.
Thanks again for all you have done and for allowing us to share our love with this amazing little girl.
Kind regards.

Hi Kay,
I hope you are doing well!
It's been a while so I thought I would send you a little note about Jasper.
We are getting into a good groove with him, and our routine is getting better. He loves his morning and evening walks. He gets impatient – if we aren't ready he carries our shoes and leash to the back door lol. We've met so many of our wonderful neighbors who meet each day in the park. Sometimes our walks end up 2 hours long because he loves to socialize! Jasper is doing so well with meeting new puppies, people and older dogs. He actually gets along with a 9-month old pit bull mix! It's crazy, he's cautious but doesn't have any fear. He's so smart. He actually caught a rat in our backyard a few weeks ago... we couldn't believe it!! Thank god he had his rabies shot already.
Everyone loves him, he's got great recall and is a snuggle bug. He's great at sit, leave-it, and 'off'. 'Stay' is a hard one... we are still working on it.
Jasper finished puppy school last week, so I'm sending the certificate along to you for your records. He's a special little guy and I can't wait to start our foundations course next week, and then on to agility :). He also will start doggie daycare once a week soon, just so he can socialize a bit more.
Thank you for being such a wonderful breeder. People can't believe how sweet and adorable he is! Even though some days are so exhausting, balancing Jasper, family stuff and work, it's so so rewarding to see him grow and flourish.
Take care,
Wendy (2023)

Hi!
In december 2008 I adopted a pup from you. Reynards Folly Torque...now named Tucker. Today, my boy turns 14 yrs old! I thought you would enjoy seeing an update of a very loved and very happy dog who now lives in sunny San Diego with 3 very active little boys as friends. Thanks for allowing him to join our lives, I've been blessed to have him! (I think you still have his baby pic with litter mates on your planned breeding page!) Ive included a few pics, the first one is from today, and a little video clip to see HOW active he still is at his age

Good afternoon Kay,
Hope all is well with you and your family.
First of all, your puppies are so cute! I enjoy looking at your planned litter page from time to time, you have the cutest puppies! 🥰
I’d love to have another one. I’m having so much fun with my little Mason. 😊
I’d like to share with you that this summer Mason got his
CKC Rally’O Novice title.
And we’re missing one leg to get the Intermediate title.
He’s really focused in Rally’O, he got a 100% at the last one and we are almost
always «Best in Class » in big groups!
Regarding agility, he’s very very good! We did a couple of Fun Match over the Summer.
I think he needs a bit more practice and should be ready to compete officially next April when the season starts again. I lose his focus from time to time, especially outdoors, he gets easily distracted! 🤦🏼♀️😊
But we’ll get there! 👍🏻
I’ll start competing in Obedience as well next Spring.
Lots to do, we have until next April to practice. We’re a busy team! 😂
Judges and trainers are very impressed with Mason. They find him very focused, always ready to learn, he knows when I mean business. Such a pleasure.
At every competition, at least 5 people ask me who is Mason’s breeder.
Thank you Kay for Mason. You made a great match!
I’ll keep you updated on our progress.
Oh and I meant to be part of the JRTCC event in September, but Daniel was away and I don’t like driving long distance by myself. Hopefully next year….. Were you there?
Happy Thanksgiving.
Best,
Sylvie from Montreal

Hi Kay! Hope you're doing well. (2022)
I know I'm a day late, but I wanted to send you an update on our little lady, on her 1st birthday :)
Indiana is a fiery, cuddly, playful little gal who very much completes our family! She is whip smart (sometimes TOO smart). She loves to play, and fetch her ball in the backyard, and chase (and "chase" is even more fun when she's gotten a hold of one of our daughter's toys that she knowwws she's not supposed to have! Or when she's chasing Oskar the cat!). She hates balloons, the rain, and cold weather (a little wuss, even with her jacket on! haha). She loves going to the dog park every day with her "dog gang" and the dog walker. She loves car rides, and other dogs, and little kids. But most of all, she lovvvesss to cuddle. She always wants to be in our laps, or right up against us, or for us to hold her. And she's SO funny when she sleeps - she sticks her legs out straight in front of her :)
I thought I'd send along some photos from the past few months, and from Indiana's "birthday party" yesterday. As I'm sure you can imagine, living in the city during this wave of the pandemic has left us pretty isolated at home - so we gladly jumped at any opportunity to bake some cakes (Indiana's was a dog-safe recipe, but I made regular cakes for us too! haha) and put up decorations.
We're so in love with Indiana and we're so grateful that she's such a sweet, energetic, lovable pup. Thank you again for picking us as her family :)
Hope all is well with you and your family, and that you're staying happy and healthy though all this.

Hi Kay & Mark,
We wanted to reach out to you - my husband and I ended up adopting your "Eddie" (DOB August 27, 2015) and we wanted to send you a quick note to say what a lovely little dog he is!
You must do a wonderful job with your breedings because he is SO clever, SO loving and SO intelligent. He is just a great dog. Even our cats love him!
Thanks for sending such great dogs out into the world.
Cheers,

Hi Kay!
Just wanted to give you a quick update on our little Ghost.
She loving this warm weather and would love to spend all her days outside! :)
We are so lucky as she has the run of the yard and the fields and comes home whenever called. She is having a blast chasing the kids on their bikes and playing soccer and baseball with them.
She has been in a couple times for full clips now and she is well behaved for the groomer also.
When the weather was poor in the winter our walks turned into walks on the treadmill and by spring time she would just hop on with me and walk away.
Playing fetch is by far her favourite game tho. :)
Thank you again for allowing us to give her a home and we hope her other little mates are having a great birthday also.

Hello Kay
Hope you are doing well. I just wanted to send you an email to let you know how Newt is doing. We couldn't be happier with her. She is an incredible dog and a loving family member we all adore. She goes everywhere with us and I think has only spent one night away from us and we had a close friend stay at the house with her while we were away :) I really can't believe how perfect she is and I can't believe she is a year old already! We just got back from a weeks holiday spent at a cottage and had a blast. I hope you like the pictures. I would love to see some pics of her siblings if you have any. Thank you again for everything. I will send some more pictures if you're interested..... I have a few 😊
Take care

Hi Kay,
Sullivan and I made it through our first week together and, speaking for myself, I had a ball. I think Sullivan did too. He is such a little ambassador! People, old and young, dogs of all ages, just seem to gravitate towards him because of his charming and lovely personality. He walks on leash confidently. He plays with the cats appropriately (most of the time anyway!) His house-training is getting better. He sits, he comes when called, he stands when asked. He is just a little star. And he sleeps right through the night. The list goes on!
Hope you are well. Sullivan sends his love to Sahara and everyone.

Hi Kay!Roxie has officially been living in Texas since September now with her new best friend Buddy (our Dalmatian). She is definitely the Boss of the house and Buddy knows it! Buddy has quite the reputation for his aggressive behavior but oddly enough its Roxie that keeps him in line.
She absolutely loves to play with him and is able to wear him right out.. but its not until Roxie's worn out that she lets Buddy stop playing. She is quite the little dog and still the greatest cuddler!
Hope all is well!

Yes, time did fly!!! I can't believe how big he is...sheesh.
Tucker is the life of the party. He's Mr.Personality. We go to the off-leash park about 4 times a week because he's such social butterfly that he just goes crazy to be there...haha, its so fun to watch! He's a little lightning bolt zig-zagging around greeting every person and everydog! He's always the first to the gate to welcome in someone new and sometimes there's even a train of dogs following him around the paths and through the bushes. Tuck is SUCH a riot! I'm so pleased with him. I'll be sure to let you know when his career takes off ;) I'm sure it won't be for a while yet though...he's still pretty busy being a crazy puppy!

Kay,Venus is amazing, she is so much part of our family it is scary. She comes with me all the time of course and so loyal it is almost erie, but when I leave her at home she is also fine. She takes care of Tyler too. She Wakes up with me in the morning but as soon as I turn the channel on the T.V. to cartoons she runs to Tyler's bed and licks him until he wakes up. She is also great with other dogs but her very best friend is a CAT! They wrestle and clean each other, you'd have to see it to believe it. I will bring her by when I bring her spay record she has an appointment in March. Thank you for pairing me with this very special personality.

Dear Kay,We received your Christmas card and want to thank you for having us in your thoughts. I was very saddened to see that you lost Suki so I wanted to just give you an update on how Clover is doing. She has definitely gotten to be a very smart girl and is having a great time harassing Riley ( our Greyhound) who unfortunately is not in the best of health either at the moment. He is 8 years old now and he has developed arthritis but he still tries to keep up with her. She sleeps with Griffin every night right under the covers and sleeps in every morning until he wakes up. I have to tell you that she has brought us many laughs and more and more as each day passes, she almost reminds me of a cat that I used to have.

I thought I's fill you in on how Rex is doing,,,sorry I don't have any pictures..they are at home.
He is a wonderful addition to the family! He sleeps with Hunter every night on her bed and likes to sneak into my bed when the door is open. Rex is great with all the cats and loves the two goats that raom free arond the horse area. Rex stays on the property when let out in the morning and barks to get back in the house.
What a cutie! Thank you so much for allowing this guy to come and live with us. We sure miss Rudy, Kay, he was one in a million! Rex is up there too! Take care you two!
Bye for now!

Hi Kay,Kay I can't tell you how much I appreciated how well you prepared Molly before we took her home. The crate training and being separated from her mother and then her siblings. A close friend of ours just bought a boxer puppy and he was taken directly from the mother, no weaning etc. The poor thing has had a tough time adjusting, expecially with the separation anxiety - crying all the time and all night. I got them to take they puppy to the obedience puppy class we went, to get the puppies to socialize and play - and that has helped a lot and the instructor is helping them with crate training etc. Even now when I go out shopping I put Molly in her crate - get out a treat and she runs right for the crate. She is still a little mischief if you leave her loose and nobody is home.
